DEAR KP

December 3rd, 2020

Dear Key Point Christian Academy Board,

First and foremost, thank you.  Thank you because you, since the first day in our new lives in Miami have made a huge impact on our lives.

We started at Key Point in 2017 because it was close, it was small, and because we felt professionalism and love when we first came for information.  We´ve stayed al Key Point because those same reasons and many many more.

And as Pedro said on his very first day of school, when he didn´t even talk or understood a lot of English: “Mommy can I stay here unit I go to College?”.  We love Key Point and we would stay until they all go to College.  There hasn´t been a single day where my kids don´t want to go, don´t leave without a huge smile, or don´t have a huge adventure to talk about, and that, for me, means everything.

We as parents have also learned a lot at Key Point.  An amazing educational program, a loving community, and that our kids have an extraordinary capability of using the tools learned to flourish at highspeed.

Our eldest son Pedro loves his friends and is eager to learn and know more than his parents every day, our second son Tomas learned his dedication and passion for everything while enjoying every day and every minute at school and our third and youngest can´t wait to start at Key Point and wants to stay ever morning when we drop off his brothers.

We wish more than anything to stay, but as for many, this year has been a huge struggle.  I lost my Company in Mexico due to Covid.19 and my husband lost his second income also due to Covid.19.  And although we know things will turn around and we will recover from this, today´s reality doesn´t help.  So we are writing to ask for your help.

All the help you can give us will be greatly appreciated and you will make our family super happy and our dream of staying until College could be one step closer.  And we as parents, marketing professionals, and adults can offer, as always all our help with whatever you might need.  Volunteer, assist if the staff is sick or help is needed, take pictures, graphic design, substitute, organize events or activities, keep rebuild KPSS and trying to engage more parents, or whatever need you might have.

We are hopeful that the situation will improve, that I can get a new job and that Juan Carlos’s second income will come back. So we are asking for help during the 2021-2022 school year, hoping everything will be fixed for the following year.

Thank you beforehand, thank you for teaching our kids that the uniform teaches respect to them and to others, thank you for a strict schedule that teaches them to plan, thank you for making them feel safe and loved at school, thank you for always having the door open to parents for questions and volunteering, thank you for tardies because it teaches us parents the importance of our kids’ commitments and ours, thank you for Open Mind classes that sensitize, thank you for the helpers, thank you for career day that teaches them the wide variety of options they have, thank you for all the amazing projects, parties, special lunches and more, thank you for your zero tolerance to bullying that boosts their self esteem, thank you for the cutest and cleanest installations, thank you for sending us pictures to see their day to day, thank you for letting them celebrate their birthday at school, thank you for an incredible academic program that pushes them for excellence, thank you for having incredible thoughtful and caring teachers and staff, thank you for all the extra work you´ve put that allows them to go to school during a pandemic, thank you for all the different options you offered so each family could decide what fitted best, thank you for the values they see and repeat, thank you for making them feel confident speaking in public, thank you for taking turns and raising their hand for permission to speak or go to the bathroom, thank you for nutritious and delicious lunch, but above all, thank you for putting your heats out for these little human beings that believe in magic and fantasies and love their school.

Keep up, you do an extraordinary job.

Best,

Simón, Tomás, Pedro, Tina and Juan Carlos.
